10 Books You Should Read More Than Once

Hello, friends! Micah & I have been reading so many books lately that we’ve started to go back through some of our favorites to re-read them and dive deeper into the concepts that are discussed in them. Today, we wanted to share 10 of the books from our lists that we believe are worth a second read and that are also worth reading at least once too! (:

10 books you should read more than once

from Dianna’s library

1. Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert – This is one you’ve heard me mention most recently and it’s such a good read! I personally enjoy the audio version of this book, because it’s narrated by the author, Elizabeth Gilbert. Listening to her unique perspective on creativity and inspiration has a way of opening up your mind to a better understanding of creative living. There is so much inspiration and empowerment to be taken from this book, it’s worth reading again & again.

2.Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less by Greg McKeown – Lessons on decluttering your life and realizing how little you can actually be happy with. Learning to focus on things that really matter. This book was an introduction to a more minimalist outlook on life for me and one I recommend giving a read.

3.#GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso – If this book isn’t proof enough that you can literally do ANYTHING you want in life than I don’t know what to tell you. Amazing read, right here! It’s such an inspiring story of a woman who started at the bottom and hustled her way to the top. A super motivating book that I highly recommend reading!

4.The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life by Mark Manson – Micah & I have both read this and it’s at the top of our favorite books EVER! It’s such a thought-provoking read and a really good audio book as well. If you read one book off this list it should be this one for sure. Also, check out Mark Manson’s blog HERE for more thought-provoking ideas & life advice!

5.Yes Please by Amy Poehler – Okay, I’ll admit you can probably get by with reading this one once, but I had to include it because I love this book so much! The hilarity of it and all the real life advice you gain while laughing aloud at Amy’s stories is too much to pass up on. Such a good one & definitely a good audio book, as it’s narrated by Amy Poehler herself! (:

from Micah’s library

1.The Bible – the actual word of God, like seriously read the Bible a few times a year, come on now. The only place with spiritual, financial, personal, and professional growth. Plus it’s the word of God, this is my favorite version.

2.How to Win Friends & Influence People by Dale Carnegie – this one I thought would end up on my “once a year list” but then I crashed through it three times in a month, worth your time.

3.Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win by Jocko Willink – Seriously a read for anybody, but especially for those seeking growth, in leadership and in business. Just sets your mind where it should be and drives you to selfless leadership.

4.Rhinoceros Success: the Secret to Charging Full Speed Toward Every Opportunity by Scott Alexander – This is the easiest read on the list by far, a great way to amp up a down day. You can easily finish this one in a day and is perfect after rough week/month. Warning, you’ll want to chase and wreck your dreams after this.

5.MONEY Master the Game: 7 Simple Steps to Financial Freedom by Tony Robbins – This one for growing wealth, I think we can all agree that we should be doing better with the income we have been blessed with. I personally don’t believe that we have spending problems, I believe that we have income problems. Once you master the game and bring in what you should, you can do what you feel is right, be it buying a home, raising a family, feeding the homeless, or traveling the world.

We hope you enjoy some or all of the books! Feel free to comment with questions or let us know what books we missed. We’d love to hear what some of your favorite books are! (: Happy reading!
