The beautiful city of San Francisco has been our home for about a year & a half now and it’s been wonderful! The beginning of our time in the city was spent in multiple Airbnb’s and then we stumbled across Common, a shared housing space in the SoMa district of San Francisco. Now, you’re probably thinking “shared housing?” but I promise it’s not what it sounds like, haha (: Take a look!
Common, is a really cool housing concept centered around community, which is perfect if you’re new to a city and don’t know anybody. As of now, they’re located in four major cities (New York, Washington D.C, San Francisco & Chicago) but they’re consistently looking for more cities to spread to, so keep an eye out! Now, every home is different, but the common things (no pun intended) throughout them all are a furnished room, community events, and utilities covered. The way ours is set up is we basically have a mini studio with a private bathroom and kitchenette. Then we share a full kitchen and living area with the other members on our floor. Pretty great setup if you ask us! (:
Now that you have an idea of where we live, we’re excited to share a little look into our home and how we’ve personalized the space & made it our own! Enjoy (:
We’re currently coming up on a year at Common and it’s been a lovely experience for us that we wouldn’t trade for anything! But as life happens and new opportunities arise we’re saying goodbye to our cute little studio and hello to a new place (: I’m so happy we got to share more about our San Francisco home with you all before we officially said goodbye.
